Underwater photography has a fairly long history. It dates back to 1926 when the first underwater color photograph was taken by a National Geographic
photographer. Back than due to limited technical equipment
photographers used magnesium powder as an explosive on the surface of
the water to illuminate the sea down to 15 feet (4,6 meters).
